A musical performance by Dawoodi Bohras in Naif area thrilled passersby and residents on the occasion of the UAE National Day.
Hundreds of Dawoodi Bohras in Dubai took part in a parade at Naif road in Deira to mark the 50th #UAE National Day.
The members expressed their gratitude to the Naif Police station officials for their support in the planning and execution of the Golden Jubilee parade.
The members of Sharjah Dawoodi Bohra community celebrated the National Day with great zeal and patriotic fervour at Masjid Al Fatemeen Al Bohra where the local dignitaries followed by the recitation of the national anthem hoisted the national flag.
The Sharjah community said, “On the occasion of UAE National Day50, Dawoodi Bohras of Sharjah extend their warm wishes to the visionary leaders and all the people living and working in this dynamic and diverse country. Wishing many more prosperous decades to come.”
The community in Abu Dhabi thanked the police for joining the celebrations.
It wrote on Twitter, “Thank you Brigadier Hadher Khalaf Al Muhairi for joining the flag hoisting ceremony at the Bohra Cultural Complex in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of UAE National Day 50. Together we all prayed for the further growth and prosperity of the nation.”
The Dawoodi Bohras are a Muslim community with a blend of ethnic cultures from Egypt, Yemen and India.
