The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority and the Public Authority for the Security of Ports, Borders and Free Zones welcomed those coming from Oman, in conjunction with the announcement of the protocol for arrivals from the Sultanate through land ports, which will be effective as of September 1, 2021.
The authorities said all arrivals from the Sultanate will be required to present a negative PCR laboratory test result valid for 48 hours in addition to performing a Rapid PCR Nasal Swab Examination (Rapid PCR) from the vehicle upon arrival at the port.
All arrivals must undergo a PCR laboratory test on the fourth day of entry in the case of a stay of 4 consecutive days or more, in addition to a PCR examination on the eighth day of entry in the event of a stay of 8 consecutive days or more.
The two authorities stressed the importance of the arrivals’ commitment to apply all preventive and precautionary measures, such as wearing face masks, maintaining physical distance and sterilizing luggage.
It is also advised to avoid travel for those with chronic diseases or those who feel symptoms of Covid-19.
All people arriving from the Sultanate will be directed to COVID-19 screening centres while adhering to all precautionary and preventive measures, said the two entities.
