Motorists to pay Dhs51,000 in case they jump red light in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police have warned motorists against jumping the Red lights.
Abu Dhabi Police referred to Law No.5 of 2020, which talks about the impoundment of vehicles in case motorists jump red lights.
Apart from the impoundment of the vehicles there is a fine of Dhs1,000 and motorists will also incur 12 black points.
The vehicle will remain impounded for a period of 30 days after that the owner can get it released after paying Dhs50,000.
It means motorists have to pay Dhs51,000 in total in case they jump red light
Abu Dhabi Police further say that if the owner of impounded vehicle fails to pay the fees and get the vehicle released within three months, the authority will auction it.
