VIDEO: Abu Dhabi Police hand out vehicle's digital sticker to ensure traffic safety

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police has distributed digital stickers on vehicles at security points at the entrances of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as part of its efforts to enhance the traffic safety.

The initiative comes to educate the motorists about a number of principles that aim at enhancing traffic safety.

The police explained that the stickers are to facilitate traffic movement at security points. Moreover, the stickers contain QR codes that can be scanned from inside vehicles by the mobile phone camera. It opens educational videos urging drivers to adhere to their contents in order to preserve their safety and others’ safety. 

Among the matters highlighted by those awareness videos are the need to give priority to pedestrian crossing, leaving an adequate safety distance between vehicles, dangers of jumping the red light, non-allowing children under 10 to  sit in the front seats, and adhering to the specified speeds limits on the roads.
