Free COVID-19 testing for Sharjah suburbs

Khamis Al Suwaidi, Head of Suburbs and Villages Affairs Department, on Wednesday announced, during a phone intervention to the “Direct Line” radio broadcast, a campaign of free COVID-19 screening for the residents and citizens of the suburbs of Sharjah.

The campaign that has been launched on Wednesday is organised under the slogan of “Together towards Sustainable Health," in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, represented by the Sharjah Medical District.

He said, “We have started with Rahmaniyya Council, which was available on Wednesday only from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, while the councils of Al-Bustan suburb in the Central Region, Subaihiya suburb in Khor Fakkan, and the Dibba Al-Hisn will be open on Friday and Saturday, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The council of Khaldiya suburb will be open for a week, from 26th to 30th of July from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.”

He stressed that the pre-booking for the testing is must by sending a copy of the ID card to the number assigned to each council via WhatsApp. Number of the councils will be announced through the councils’ accounts on social media, he added.
