5,000 volunteers register for third phase of COVID-19 vaccine trials in 24 hours

The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi has announced the registration of 5000 volunteers for the third phase of clinical trials for inactivated COVID-19 vaccine in Abu Dhabi during the first 24 hours of activating the registration site www.4humanity.ae.

The 4humanity urged residents to join the trial. It asked on social platforms, “Volunteers interested in participating in the world’s first WHO enlisted global clinical Phase III trials of COVID-19 inactivated vaccine in Abu Dhabi can now register on www.4Humanity.ae . A special hotline 028191111 has also been created for all volunteers signing up for the trials #4Humanity…”

4Humanity website greets visitors with the message, “Thank You for volunteering for the #4Humanity campaign – and helping the UAE to make history.

“Your participation in these vital Phase III trials can play a massive role in helping to overcome the global Covid-19 pandemic and has the active support of the UAE’s leadership at the highest levels.

“In the weeks ahead, as you help us in this important initiative, we wanted to reassure you that your safety will always come first.

“Before the first trial or test commences we will check your medical history to ensure you can participate.

“These trials are being conducted in compliance with strict international guidelines stipulated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Food & Drug Authority (USFDA).”
