Back to School promotions lure kids

With the opening of schools after Summer break, children as well as parents are excited with the overflow of promotions filled with rewards and other enticing offers. Everything is to bring smile on the faces of students on the first day, which is not only an emotional but one of the many days someone is not going to  forget for a long time.

Parents are seen everywhere especially in the malls along with their children to fulfil their wish list of new necessities from uniform to stationary and other electronics accessories.

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has rounded up highlights from this year’s line-up of back-to-school promotions.

Majority of the footwear companies have announced different kinds of promotions on their school footwear. They range from price discounts to offers on purchasing more than one pair.

Girls and boys can update their wardrobe at a great price at various outlets spread across all leading malls.

Girls can buy two T-shirts for Dhs59 or  one T-shirt and leggings for Dhs79.

Boys can get two T-shirts for Dhs49 until Sept.7.

The coolest brand for backpacks, totes and accessories are available to customers with a chance to win an astounding Dhs50,000 through its Scratch & Win promotion.

Shoppers can visit malls and stores to find out more and win until Sept.14.

Retail Pioneer, Union Coop in Dubai has announced its three consecutive “Back to school” promotions with discounts reaching up to 75 per cent on more than 10,000 products, which will benefit parents of children resuming school.

Harib Mohammed Bin Thani, Director of Operations division, Union Coop explains that Union Coop has invested Dhs10 million towards price reductions and discounts to benefit the consumers.

“Union Coop has allocated Dhs10 Million to reduce the prices of school stationery and supplies in addition to the reduction of prices of a selection of Food and Non-Food products. School uniforms shall be available at selected Union Coop branches as well. Through these promotions, parents can prepare for the new school season by purchasing a wide variety of products at competitive prices,” he said.

“With these three promotional campaigns, Union Coop aims to provide a wide array of options of necessary stationery and school supplies to consumers, who don’t have to worry about excessive prices,” added Bin Thani who stresses that the exclusive promotions on stationery items will delight the parents and indeed reduce their burden.
