A Dubai-based group has analysed over 12 million Instagram posts with #roadtrip over the last five years and has revealed that you may not have to travel as far as you think for those summer grid goals. For the first time, the UAE’s very own Hatta is now one of the most Instagrammed road trips in the world, competing with the classics such as Route 66 and Australia's Great Ocean Road.
1) Great Ocean Road, Australia - 87,190 posts
This one comes as no big surprise. Australia’s Great Ocean Road regularly features as one of the world’s top road trips by travel bloggers! And, with an impressive 87k posts, this amazingly scenic 400-mile journey is a surfer’s paradise. Twelve Apostles and Otway National Park are definitely Insta-highlights.

2) Route 66, USA - 62,680 posts
If you’re after bragging rights, then the iconic Route 66 road trip should definitely be on your to-do list. It’s an epic journey, covering 2,448 miles over eight US states.
