Giant floating violin built as homage to COVID-19 victims in Venice

A Venice artist has built a boat in the shape of a giant violin as an homage to people who have died from COVID-19. The boat on Friday had a test voyage in Venice as a female cellist played on the deck.

Famous artist Livio De Marchi created the Violin of Noah during the coronavirus pandemic.
He collaborated with the Venice Development Consortium for the project.
Marchi is known as the Carpenter of Venice.
He has created many marvelous floating sculptures, including a wooden Ferrari.
During the test, a cellist in an evening dress sat on the violin bridge to play some as a homage.
The boat is said to be 12 metres in length.
The floating violin will ultimately carry an ensemble playing music as it sails on the lagoon city's Grand Canal.
