Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty denies being involved in husband’s X-rated business

Shilpa Shetty, the dusky South Indian beauty who acted in such Bollywood movies as Baazigar, Main Khilari Tu Anari and Dhadkan in the past, has found herself in hot water over Hotshots, the porn app linked to her husband Raj Kundra.

She has been caught in the crosshairs of suspicion by investigating agencies of the Crime Branch who raided her Juhu residence as part of the probe into her husband’s involvement in making X-rated films.

Kundra himself has a questionable past according to news reports: from betting in the mega cricket tournament Indian Premier League to a scam involving Bitcoin transactions. Shetty has denied her involvement in the pornographic app, and pointed an accusing finger at his brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi.

Shetty however defended her husband, who she said was not involved in producing indecent content.

The investigative team is scouting for the source of money and related emails.

After the case grabbed headlines, Shetty quit her husband's firm Viaan Industries, and steered clear of other projects, including a TV reality show and her new film.

Kundra will be in police custody till July 27.
