FTA to showcase its digital initiatives at GITEX Global 2023

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is set to participate in the 43rd edition of the GITEX Global 2023 exhibition, which kicks off next Monday (16 October) and runs for five days at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with over 6,000 exhibitors from more than 170 countries taking part.

The Authority will be showcasing updates regarding its ongoing projects, in addition to launching a range of new initiatives and services at its pavilion at the exhibition, in line with the government’s digital strategy. This is part of the FTA’s efforts to leverage advanced technologies to continually enhance its operational systems and digital services, in a bid to proactively meet the needs and expectations of taxpayers.

“The Federal Tax Authority’s participation in the GITEX Global 2023 exhibition is in line with our plans to introduce diverse digital services and highlight the continuous development these services are undergoing,” said His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA. “We aim to shed light on transformative projects that enhance taxpayers’ and stakeholders’ satisfaction with the tax system, which, in turn, supports our ongoing efforts to implement the wise leadership’s directives to achieve global leadership in the government sector and enhance the UAE’s competitiveness in all fields.” “GITEX Global is an ideal global platform that allows the Authority to effectively engage with stakeholders and experts from around the world, exchange expertise, and explore tax best practices and solutions,”

Al Bustani added. “Furthermore, the event provides an opportunity to gather the public’s feedback and suggestions regarding the Authority’s services, which supports our continuous efforts to improve the taxpayer experience, enhance the tax system’s efficiency, and support taxpayers with smooth and transparent processes to ensure compliance with tax requirements.”

The FTA’s pavilion at GITEX Global 2023 offers interactive presentations to participants and visitors outlining the latest developments of its digital initiatives, including Muwafaq Package, which aims to facilitate business operations and tax compliance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
