The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced that through its integrated monitoring system 894 private companies had been detected for violating Emiratisation rules from mid-2022 to date.

The legal measures have been taken against them, the Ministry added.

“Our data shows 1,267 fake Emiratisation cases that have been detected during the same period,” MOHRE added.

It also pointed out that Nafis benefits had been suspended for Emiratis involved in those cases and the benefits they had previously received would be recovered.

The Ministry calls on members of the public to report any violations of Emiratisation decisions via its call centre at 600590000 or through the Ministry’s smart app or website.

The Ministry has called on private sector establishments employing 50 or more workers to expedite their efforts to meet Emiratisation targets for 2023 and achieve a 2 per cent annual growth rate in the Emiratisation of skilled jobs before Dec.31, 2023, in line with the relevant Cabinet Resolution, to avoid financial contributions to non-compliance.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation explained in a statement on Monday that establishments who are still short of meeting their requirements can benefit from the Nafis platform to look for Emirati job seekers.

MoHRE commended private sector establishments who have achieved their Emiratisation targets, noting that over 18,000 establishments have succeeded in doing so, which, in turn, has contributed to a historic and unprecedented increase in the number of citizens joining private sector jobs, ensuring their stability in these positions.

Over 84,000 Emiratis currently work in the private sector as more than 54,000 of them entered the sector in the last two years.
