Ras Al Khaimah Police rescue three tourists in Wadi Naqab

A specialised crew from the Search and Rescue Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued three tourists of different nationalities, who lost their way in the Wadi Naqab area while they were hiking in a very rugged location at the highest altitude of the area.
The tourists were found in a state of exhaustion.
According to Major Abdullah Al Saman, Head of RAK Police’s Search and Rescue Department, the Ras Al Khaimah Police’s operations room received a report about three tourists who had lost their way on top of a mountain in the Wadi Naqab area.
Patrols from the Search and Rescue Department rushed to the site of the tourists after the very rough area of Wadi Naqab had been surveyed by special equipment from Ras Al Khaimah Police.
The tourists were finally found in a state of fatigue and were given the necessary on-site support and first aid before they were transferred to a hospital for further medical examinations.
Al Saman called on citizens, residents and tourists to take caution when hiking and practising mountain sports and to inform the competent authorities accordingly before entering rugged areas.
He also called on them to keep the set route in dangerous sites, especially on top of mountains, and not to go too far into heights and valleys for their safety
