LPG cylinder explosion fire brought under control: Abu Dhabi Police

The civil defence teams were dispatched to the location of the fire, and they were able to put it out and control the situation.

The Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence teams were able to contain a fire caused by explosion of an LPG cylinder in a factory located in the Mafraq Industrial Area in Abu Dhabi.

The Command and Control Centre at the Abu Dhabi Police, on Saturday morning, received a report stating that a fire broke out in a gas refilling plant.

Instantly, the civil defence teams were dispatched to the location of the fire, and they were able to put it out and control the situation, while the cooling process is still underway.

In a statement, the Abu Dhabi Police confirmed that the concerned teams had immediately initiated preliminary investigations into the accident to disclose its causes and repercussions.

The Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority urge the public to obtain information only from official authorities, obtain news from reliable and credible media sources, and avoid spreading or circulating rumors and false information.
