The United Arab Emirates has emerged as one of the top countries in the world to tackle the serious issue of climate change (“US climate envoy John Kerry hails holding COP28 in UAE,” Dec.11, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, John Kerry, the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, on Wednesday hailed the decision to hold next year’s 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) in the UAE, stating that fossil fuel economies should be encouraged to lead the transition to clean energy.

The United Arab Emirates will hold next year’s 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties. The world’s rich countries will participate in the conference and address the issue of global warming.

While talking to the media John Kerry said, “I think it’s very exciting that the UAE, an OPEC member, is going to host COP28”.

The world has witnessed the disaster caused by climate change in many countries in the year 2022, heavy rain and floods destroyed many cities, hundreds of people have died and people lost their livestock and agricultural land.

I am sure next year’s 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference in the United Arab Emirates pay the way to take realistic measures to save the world from climate change.
