About the article titled “Under Biden US will be a force for good again”, I believe this article and the others like it are taking the laurels of Biden too far.

Sure, America had a very bad President and a bad run. But that doesn’t make Biden a demigod, which is precisely what such articles seek to portray.

Ever since he won (by a margin) Biden has been pandered about in the media until every positive adjective and sentence seems passé.

Clearly the opinion writers are forced to write about the burning issue and the burning issue has been COVID-19, Trump and Biden. And the writers have cried hoarse about Biden saving America.

While Biden is any day a better leader than Trump, let’s not forget that he was mired in his own share of controversies, which are now conveniently pushed under the carpet by the gushing and fawning media.

In 1994 he played a leading role in passing the crime bill which led to mass incarceration and some years later, he voted for the war in Iraq.

Sure everyone makes mistakes. But it is to be seen how much has changed and how much can be rectified. It would do a lot of good if he would abolish Guantanamo bay, first thing.
