If there is one thing that one infers from US President Donald Trump’s tirade against women, it’s that he does not seem to like being outsmarted by them. He appears to be a loose cannon when it comes to expressing his views on, or to, women. He has earned flak for his outrageous, sexist comments.

One of the top female leaders he has ever targeted is his one-time Democratic presidential opponent Hillary Clinton whom he called a ‘nasty woman’ and ‘crooked.’ "I just don't believe she has a presidential look, and you need a presidential look,” he had remarked once.

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may have riled the Chinese with her Taiwan trip, but even Trump gets rattled by her. He calls her ‘crazy’ and ‘a very sick person.’

He even has gone to the extent of making personal remarks, saying her face seemed glossy and she was sporting a poorly marked second set of eyebrows.

Yes, he does seem to get away with his sexist remarks, but at times he gets his comeuppance from women, particularly if he tries to come too close for comfort.

At least that’s what happened during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas.

The vivacious Riley Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer, was welcomed by Trump to the stage. But she upstaged him when he tried to embrace her and attempted to plant a peck on her cheek: she just flinched and moved away.

Social media rallied to her support.

He may be in his seventies, but she does not seem to be in the seventh heaven with him.

Clearly, he doesn’t stand a chance in the ‘pecking’ order of women.
