The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said on Thursday that the temperatures might decrease in some areas in the country from Friday until next Monday, because of weak surface pressure systems, accompanied with an extension of upper air high pressure.

It also expects that the weather on Friday will be fair to partly cloudy at times with a decrease in temperatures over some coastal western areas. Humid by night and Saturday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal and inland areas. The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly, becoming fresh northwesterly winds over the sea westward by evening, with a speed 15 – 25 reaching 40 kilometres/hour. The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough gradually by night westward in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

The weather on Saturday is expected to be dusty and partly cloudy at times over some areas, with a significant decrease in temperatures especially over the coasts. Humid by night and Sunday morning over some inland areas. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds and strong at times over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand especially westward, with a speed 20 – 30 reaching 50 kilometres/hour. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
