Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Civil Defence team rescued an Arab man, identified as A.R, 33, after he fell from a very rugged cliff in Jebel Jais area, which led to him being moderately injured.

The Operations Room was alerted at 07:25 am on Tuesday about an Arab man, who had fallen off a cliff in Jebel Jais area, Brigadier Mohammad Al Za’abi, Director of the Civil Defence Department in Ras Al Khaimah, said.

A rescue squad was instantly dispatched to the site of the accident, where the squad's crew rescued the young man using ropes and a stretcher, in collaboration with the civil defence station in Digdaga, Al Zaabi added.

"The squad handed over the young man to the National Ambulance, to be transferred to the hospital," he added.

Mohammad Al Za’abi called on mountaineers to exercise caution during their trips in the mountainous heights, and to adhere to a sufficient safety distance from the slopes, to avoid falling accidents, which may kill them or endanger their safety.
