The Ministry of Health and Prevention announced on Tuesday that over 38,000 additional COVID-19 tests had been conducted for various segments of the society, using the best and latest medical examination technologies in line with its plan to expand the scope of tests in the UAE for early detection of more COVID-19 cases and isolate their associates.

Intensified detection and examination measures and expanding the scope of tests nationwide contributed to detecting 873 new COVID-19 cases of different nationalities, all of which are stable and are receiving the necessary healthcare. This brings to 25,063 the total cases registered.

The ministry also announced the death of three patients of different nationalities, bringing to 227 the total deaths in the country.

Expressing its regret and offering its condolences to the families of the deceased and its wishes for fast recovery to the patients, the ministry called on the members of the society to co-operate with the health authorities and abide by the instructions and social distancing rules to protect the health and safety of all.

Meanwhile, the ministry announced that 1,214 patients were fully recovered after receiving the necessary healthcare since they were admitted to the hospital. This would bring to 10,791 the total number of recovered cases, the ministry added.
