A Gulf employee, 43, beat an Arab woman after insulting her in a parking lot for driving her car in the opposite direction and failing to park the car of her company, causing a permanent disability of three per cent to her.

According to the official records, the victim testified before the Dubai Public Prosecution that after she had finished work on the day of the incident, she went to a shopping mall but entered the parking area of the shopping mall from the opposite direction. When she realised that she committed a mistake, she tried to turn back to take the right direction. In the meantime, the defendant arrived and used his car horn repeatedly, which caused her to be confused.

She asked him to wait so that she was able to turn back but he surprisingly shouted at her and insulted her with an indecent phrase. When she got out of her car and went to him to ask him why he was insulting her, the defendant continued to insult her.

She then brought the car papers to show him that the car belonged to her company and she was afraid to make any mistake that could put her in trouble.

Nevertheless, the defendant continued to insult her while getting out of his car and heading to hers although she tried to stop him. He, however, drove her car and parked it in a vacant place while she took a photo of his number plate for fear he might cause some damage to her car.

Later, he came out of the victim’s car and pushed her to the ground before beating her, grabbing her by her clothes and tearing her shirt.

As she screamed, two people who happened to be in the area came to her help. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained multiple injuries in different parts of her body and a permanent disability of 3 per cent.  The incident also caused her to be dismissed from work over her failure to do her job properly due to the fractures she sustained.
