Two workers die, 31 injured in Ras Al Khaimah bus accident

Two Asian nationals died on Thursday after a bus accident in Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Ras Al Khaimah.

The workers were travelling in the bus when the accident happened. The police said 31 workers of different ages and nationalities were also injured.

The General Directorate of Ras Al Khaimah Police said that the incident occurred at 12 noon.

The police said, “At least 6 people were seriously injured, 23 people suffered minor injuries.”

Brig. Mohamed Said Al-Humaidi, Director General of Central Operations in the Police Command said, “Police patrols rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident.

Ambulances and civil defense carried out the operation at the site.

The injured were transferred to the hospital, while the authorities took the bodies for investigation. The bodies will handed over to the families of the victims for burial ceremony.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
