The cerebral palsy support group of the hospital was formally launched by Sheikh Ammar.

Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, visited Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital (TPTRH), the largest state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital in the country, at Thumbay Medicity, Ajman, on April 9. He was at the hospital as the chief guest of the World Health Day celebrations organised there. Also present at the event were Dr Thumbay Moideen – Founder President of Thumbay Group and Akbar Moideen Thumbay – Vice President of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group.

Sheikh Ammar met and interacted with the children of determination who were present as part of the event, and toured the state-of-the-art facilities of the hospital. The cerebral palsy support group of Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital (TPTRH) was formally launched by him. The event also had fun activities for the children of determination.

Commenting on the World Health Day celebrations at TPTRH, Akbar Moideen Thumbay said, “By celebrating the World Health Day, we reiterate our commitment to promoting good health and awareness among the communities. Especially at Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital which is at the forefront of launching initiatives and programmes to support the people of determination, celebrating this global event reinforces our commitment to work towards empowering the people of determination through our state-of-the-art facilities and expertise.”

One of the most advanced physical therapy and rehabilitation facilities in the region, TPTRH seeks to redefine the standards of physical rehabilitation by introducing innovation in the form of state-of-the-art technology, futuristic facilities, cutting-edge research and advanced learning. Innovation is one of the key features of the hospital. State-of-the-art rehabilitation treatment is delivered through advanced technology like virtual reality. The hospital operates in collaboration with internationally renowned Villa Beretta Rehabilitation Center, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Valduce Hospital, Italy. It is attached to the 500-bed Thumbay University Hospital at Thumbay Medicity, with 50 dedicated beds and a Therapeutic Garden for faster and holistic recovery.

Last year, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has praised the efforts made by the Thumbay Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, and the Gulf Medical University, in establishing specialist hospitals that serve UAE citizens and residents and provide the best advanced methods of treatment in all specialties.

Sheikh Humaid made the statement while inaugurating in Ajman, in September, the Thumbay Hospital for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and the Dental Hospital at the Gulf Medical University, in the presence of several Sheikhs, presidents and directors of government departments, and senior officials.

He also hailed the significant development and growth of the UAE health sector and the important role played by the private sector, through the various academic medical institutions operating in the country, in providing quality services, employing latest technologies, and hiring doctors with significant scientific expertise.

Sheikh Humaid said that Ajman is contributing to the achievement of the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership, by encouraging entrepreneurs and the private sector to invest in medical education, stressing that the impressive work done by leading hospitals proves the contributions of the private sector to the establishment of health centres and complexes.

He also commended the strategic plans developed under the directives of the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, to ensure the development of the private sector, higher education and health sector.
