ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a congratulatory message to President Macky Sall of Senegal on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent similar messages to the Senegalese President. Their Highnesses also sent congratulatory messages to Mohammed Dionne, the Prime Minister of Senegal.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) students, in coordination with the Student Affairs Department, organised and hosted the University’s first ever festival in celebration of the Mother of the Nation.
The event, organised by the UAE Space Agency, is the largest gathering of global space industry leaders in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) organised a number of cultural activities across the emirate to promote reading as a leisure activity, particularly amongst the younger generation. The activities included specialised book fairs, with DCT Abu Dhabi offering up to 50% discounts on more than 400 titles published by the Department.
The Environment and Protected Areas Authority’s (Epaa) Natural History & Botanical Museum organised a special event entitled ‘Together We Can Protect and Restore Our Oceans’ on the occasion of World Oceans Day. The event was held recently at the Museum with the participation of staff, visitors to the museum and representatives from a number of government agencies.
The final exams for the academic year 2018-2019 are scheduled to start on Wednesday 19 June for students from grades 1 to 12 in the governmental and private schools following the Ministry’s curriculum. The examinations will continue until June 30 for grades 11-12 of the general and advanced streams and the 9 and 10 Elite stream.
