Sharjah Police Desert Park continues to draw in a great number of families who eagerly await the annual opening of its held programmes and events. Such activities take place during its current session which extends until the April 12.

The remarkable, family-oriented Desert Park is ready to receive visitors starting from 5 to 10 o’clock at its location in Al Kaheef area of Al Bataah in Sharjah. In addition, it has become a major attraction spot for people who desire a quiet, entertaining family trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Sharjah Police General Directorate aim to create an ideal environment for students to make a good use of their summer vacation, and spend great times with their families in order to achieve the main purpose of making such an amusement park in strengthening the family bond, and enjoying the games and services provided for children.

The opening of this session comes with the distinctive participation of various Departments from the Sharjah Police, all working as one team to serve the Park’s visitors, in an attempt to attain the objectives of the Ministry of Interior in enhancing customer satisfaction with the services provided.

The park includes many recreational activities for families, as well as entertaining games for children, which include shooting, horseback and camel riding, and free atelier activity for children. It also offers the thrilling experience of theater shows that holds competitions and awareness programs for the youngsters.

Nevertheless, the Desert Park also has various vital facilities, such as prayer rooms and separated seating areas for both men and women, a mini zoo, football and volleyball courts, as well as many other new and popular events that take place on daily-basis.

In an unrelated case, Sharjah Public Library (SPL), a subsidiary of Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), has launched its smart membership platform which enables users to access a wealth of information and resources found in SPL databases. The move comes to advance their electronic services and provide information in a fast and easy manner.

The smart membership gives access to more than 5,000 resources and E-books, including audio book platform, and the website edara.com, which hosts 600 books, 4,000 essays, 470 consultations, and 150 audio management courses in varied topics.
