ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Police called on drivers to adhere to safe driving and to be vigilant during dusty winds, urging them to follow safety procedures in such circumstances for the safety of all.

Drivers are also advised to reduce speeds to 80 km/h and to leave a safe distance, especially during inclement weather conditions, in accordance with the decision of the Abu Dhabi Traffic Safety Committee.

The police emphasised the need to adhere to the changing speeds shown on the electronic road signs.

It has been further urged to stand on the right shoulder off the road, when visibility is low due to dust, and use warning signals during the emergency stop.

Drivers also should turn on the lights of the vehicle during the day, when it is difficult to see and not to be distracted by phone.
