DUBAI: The Government of Dubai Media Office shared an inspiring quote from Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s latest book “Qissati” (My Story).
The quote was shared on the Media Office’s official Twitter account.

The quote reads, “The human leaders’ feet must be on earth, live with people, endure their circumstances, share their interests, and know the most accurate details of their sufferings, so that he can change their lives for the best.” Sheikh Mohammed in his book talks about 50 stories he experienced in 50 years.

Sheikh Mohammed described the book as an incomplete biography.

In one of the chapters of the book, he tells the story of the famous bilateral meeting that took place between the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum in 1968 on a sandy hill in Sadira near Sameeh.

“In the northern tent something happened that does not happen in Arab countries and will not happen for decades to come. Sheikh Zayed asked Sheikh Rashid to be the president of the new Union, but instead Sheikh Rashid smiled, shook his rosary and said, “You are the President.”

Sheikh Mohammed also shares a story about the teachings of his late father Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum which contributed towards painting his personality.
