FMTS to bring together experts on innovation in manufacturing

FMTS 2019 will be hosted by Dubai Exports in collaboration with Expotrade Middle East.

Future Manufacturing and Trade Summit (FMTS) 2019 will be held in Dubai on Sept.10 and 11, 2019 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Festival City, Dubai. The 4th edition of the annual Future Manufacturing and Trade Summit, hosted by Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED), in collaboration with Expotrade Middle East. The event will be held under the patronage of Suhail Al Mazroui, UAE’ Minister of Energy and Industry.

Future Manufacturing and Trade Summit 2019 will cover 20 sessions on topics pertaining to Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 Initiatives, the 50-Year Charter for Dubai, Industry 4.0, the future of advanced manufacturing & production, Industrial IoT (IIoT), supply chain optimisation, and lean strategies, amongst others. Across two days, more than 40 senior experts based in the region and from other parts of the world will deliver keynote presentations, case study sessions and participate in panel discussions. The event will also showcase, in a side exhibition, innovation & technology related services providers that support future trade and manufacturing practices

The programme also includes The Green Industrial Awards wherein UAE manufacturers that practice the highest standards of sustainable manufacturing are awarded.

Dubai Exports, part of the Department of Economic Development and the export promotion agency of the Emirate of Dubai supported the country’s food and beverage sector in the week leading to and during Gulfood. Dubai Exports sought to link the country’s food and beverage manufacturers as well as re-exporters with key buyers that came to Gulfood. As a part of its drive to increase exports from the emirate Dubai Exports facilitated over 450 B2B meetings between UAE manufactures and re-exporters with international buyers. The B2B meetings took place leading to and on the sidelines of the Gulfood exhibition.

Dubai Exports through its Overseas Trade Office in India was able to attract 45 major buyers who had the opportunity to conduct individual B2B meetings with UAE manufacturers and re-exporters during the ‘Indian Food Forum’ held a day before the formal opening of Gulfood. The Indian Food Furum also allowed Dubai Exports to showcase the strength of the over 600 companies in the country that are active in food and beverage manufacturing as well as re-exporting.

During the Gulfood exhibition which is the largest such event outside Europe Dubai Exports hosted international buyers from India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Hong Kong and Brazil. Dubai Exports also facilitated official delegations from various countries that were looking to meet with UAE food and beverage companies.
