Treble winners Manchester City parade through Manchester on an open-top bus, two days after winning the Champions League.

Spanish coach Pep Guardiola and his technical, the administrative staff and the players boarded an open bus, roaming the streets of Manchester to greet the thousands of fans who braved the heavy rain that fell, and gathered wearing the colors of their blue team in the streets to greet the heroes who in turn wore shirts that read “The season to win the treble.”

Referring to winning the three historical titles — Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League, — a feat that only the city's other red-robed Manchester United have achieved in England in one season, that was in 1999.

The celebration began in Manchester City Center Square in the presence of a number of former players of the team, and it included a concert, then the heroes toured with an open bus towards the city centre.
On the other hand, Pep Guardiola spoke of the need to build on that success.

Real Madrid’s record haul of 14 European Cups is safe for some time yet - but there is every reason to believe City will go on to win the competition again and again.

This was, after all, its second final in three seasons.

The 1-0 win against Inter Milan in Istanbul’s Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadium had been coming. Guardiola’s apparent insatiable drive for perfection, means City has the potential to become even stronger in the coming years.
