The UAE Super Cup game between Al Ain and Sharjah will see fierce competition outside the pitch between Al Ain’s head coach Serhiy Rebrov and Sharjah’s manager Olaroiu Cosmin.

The two head coaches are looking forward to winning the UAE Super Cup title, which is scheduled to be played on Saturday at the Al Maktoum Stadium.

The 2021-22 ADNOC Pro League title holders Al Ain will play the game under the slogan of “must-win competition.” Winning the UAE Super Cup title for Al Ain is essential because it will be a step towards returning back to the right track on the league’s standings during their route towards defending their ADNOC Pro League’s crown.

On the other hand, Sharjah manager Olaroiu Cosmin provided an outstanding performance with Sharjah during the ongoing season, especially after guiding the club to claim the UAE President’s Cup title following their 1-0 victory over Al Wahda.

The Romanian manager will seek to prove his club’s superiority during the ongoing season after topping the league’s table with 26 points. He also aspires to add a new championship to his career by claiming the UAE Super Cup title.

The moral motivation of both coaches and players will be strongly present during the game as they will search for producing a brilliant performance, which will add excitement to the game. Despite the difficulty of the match, everyone will seek to write history by winning the first title for their club in 2023.
We’ll try our best to win: Cozmin: Sharjah head coach Cozmin said his players are ready to claim the UAE Super Cup trophy.

“We play against the champions. It will be a tough game, and we will try our best to win the trophy,” the Romanian manager said during the pre-match press conference. “I saw that all the tickets are sold out, and this is fantastic for the football here at this moment. This is the reason for this game to bring people. I hope both teams offer a good show during tomorrow’s game to make fans enjoy it,” he added.

“These kinds of games, especially in this stage of Emirati football, should be a fair play football that everyone enjoys. I hope the way that the two teams play to be good and to start to bring people to the stadiums more and more,” Cozmin noted.

“Losing is not part of our plans before the UAE Super Cup match, and we always play for victory. We know that Al Ain are a strong team, but we’re not afraid of them,” he concluded.

On his part, Sharjah defender Shahin Abdulrahman said that the game would not be easy, stressing that his team are ready to clinch the title.
Meanwhile, Al Ain head coach Rebrov said that he called upon his players to play seriously to win the UAE Super Cup title.

“Our goal is to achieve victory, and we will play to claim the title because the Super Cup is very important for us,” the Ukrainian manager said during the pre-match press conference. “I called upon all the players to fight for winning the Super Cup trophy,” he added.

“We understand our problems. Every training session, we’re trying to work with the players, and we’re trying to work with our mistakes, and we’re moving forward. I hope tomorrow we score more than we concede,” Rebrov concluded.

Al Ain midfielder Bandar Al Ahbabi said: “We have enough experience to play such games, and our goal is to claim the UAE Super Cup trophy.”

“The UAE Pro League was the one who selected Al Maktoum Stadium for the Super Cup match, not Al Ain, and we are mainly focusing on the game,” he asserted.
“We’ll play this game to make our fans happy, and we’re focusing on clinching the trophy,” Ahbabi concluded.
