Who is Yassine Bounou's wife?

Her name is Imane Khb and she holds Moroccan citizenship. She was born in the Moroccan city of Settat in 1992.

Imane met her husband, Yassine Bounou, for the first time when he was a senior member of the Wydad Casablanca team.

In 2012, Imane married the Moroccan goalkeeper, after he received an offer from the Spanish team Atletico Madrid, to move with him to live in Spain.

The couple has only one child, their son Isaac. She accompanied her husband, Yassine Bounou, on some of his sports trips for the national team, to support and encourage him.

Who is Yassine Bounou?

Yassine Bounou was born in April 1991 in the Canadian city of Montreal, and he is of Moroccan descent.

He returned with his family to Morocco in his childhood, and they settled in the Marsa Al-Sultan area in the city of Casablanca.

Yassine Bounou's passion for football appeared from a young age, so his father enrolled him in the Moroccan Football Club Wydad School in Casablanca, when he was 8 years old.

He participated in the Casa Cup competition, and thanks to his quick reflexes and his tall stature compared to his teammates, the coach of the team placed him in the goalkeeper position.

In 2009-2010, he joined the first team of the Moroccan club Wydad Sporting Club, at the age of 19, as the second goalkeeper, behind Nader Lemyaghri, who was the first goalkeeper for the Casablanca team.

In 2011, he played his first match in the professional league championship in Morocco against Defense Club Hassani El Jadidi, and conceded the only goal in the match. Then he participated in 8 league matches, before the goalkeeper returned to resume work again.

Yassine Bounou played his first match with the Moroccan national team in 2013 against Burkina Faso at Ibn Battuta Stadium in Tangiers, and it was a friendly match that the Atlas Lions lost 1-2.

In 2015-2016, Yassine Bounou joined the Spanish club Real Zaragoza, and then moved to the Spanish club Girona. He played a major role in the club’s rise to the first division, La Liga, after 87 years of its founding.
