Babar Azam, Pakistan cricket team captain and one of the most eligible bachelors in the cricket-crazy nation, has reportedly got engaged to his paternal cousin.
Local media reports quoting sources claimed that both the families have agreed and the couple will tie the knot next year.
According to reports, all of his teammates are aware of their skipper’s engagement.
Interestingly, a day earlier, former Pakistan Test captain Azhar Ali advised Azam to get married during a question-and-answer session on Twitter.
When a netizen asked Azhar for any advice for the young stylish batsman, he responded: “Shadi ker lay" (tie the knot).
The news came as the skipper is currently in Abu Dhabi for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He is in quarantine and gearing up to lead his PSL franchise Karachi Kings.
The remaining 20 matches of the season will be played from June 9 but the schedule is yet to be announced officially.
The PSL was shifted to the UAE after Pakistani authorities did not allow the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to hold matches in the country due to COVID-19 pandemic.
