The Algerian international and his teammates were celebrating Manchester City’s title win, while he started waving the Palestinian flag in support of the innocent lives lost in the airstrikes.

 

Riyad took to his social media account to show his support to the Palestinians being attacked in Gaza.

 

His tweet couple of days back was a picture of the Palestinian flag with the trending hashtag #Palestine and #SaveSheikhJarrah.

Previously Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, Leicester City’s England Under-21 international Hamza Choudhury and French Under-21 defender Wesley Fofana held a Palestinian flag.

 

Riyad Karim Mahrez is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Manchester City and captains the Algerian national team.
