SHARJAH: Sharjah Holding, a strategic partnership between the government of Sharjah and Majid Al Futtaim Properties, announced that Al Zahia, Sharjah’s first master planned integrated residential community, has delivered its 200th home as part of the Al Jouri neighbourhood handover which commenced earlier this year.

Structured in the form of seven individually designed neighbourhoods, Al Zahia is handing over 199 homes as part of the ongoing delivery of phase two of the Al Jouri neighbourhood, bringing the total number of homes in the neighbourhood to 250. Specifically designed to meet the needs of the whole family, the Al Jouri neighbourhood boasts a number of top-tier amenities including a children’s playground, two parks, integrated footpaths and a basketball court.

Commenting on the milestone, Hawazen Esber, CEO of Communities at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, said: “The delivery of our 200th home, as part of the second handover, asserts our solid commitment to the development of the Al Zahia community and the neighbourhoods within it. Al Zahia is a true representation of our vision to create great moments for our residents and is fast becoming the destination of choice in Sharjah.”

The handover not only represented a landmark occasion for Al Zahia but was also a memorable event for the families joining the community.

“I am delighted to be here with our new residents today and celebrating this occasion. We look forward to seeing Al Zahia go from strength to strength with the scheduled completion of our additional neighbourhoods in the coming years,” added Esber.

Walid Al Hashimi, Chief Executive Officer, Sharjah Holding, said: “We are pleased with the successful second handover of homes to our new homeowners, who had their trust in Al Zahia from the beginning. Delivering within the scheduled timeframe, while maintaining the high standard and quality that the community is known for, is proof of Sharjah Holding’s commitment to offer the best to those who choose the Emirate of Sharjah as their home.”

Al Hashimi added: “Sharjah Holding is working on creating the ideal environment to live in, establishing a community with safe, comfortable surroundings and green, open spaces where families and residents living in the community coexist with nature.”

Within this new community there are areas for recreation, worship and childcare, in addition to six themed parks, communal areas and retail facilities – creating the ideal environment for a contemporary community lifestyle, steeped in Sharjah’s traditional Arab values.

In addition, Al Zahia’s second neighbourhood, Al Narjis, is 88 per cent sold and currently under construction, indicating a growing appetite for owning a home in Al Zahia.

Al Zahia is a milestone community strategically located between Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and University City Road, with convenient road network links connecting it to the rest of Sharjah and just minutes away from Healthcare City, University City, the school district and the adjacent Al Qarayen neighbourhood.
