ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has called on seafarers to take precautions and not to ride the sea in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman from Jan. 4 until Thursday Jan. 11 evening, due to their turbulence as a result of the strong north-west wind.

In a statement issued by the NCM said, “In the Arabian Gulf, the sea will be very disturbed, the wave height will be from 7 to 9 up to 11 feet, while in the Sea of Oman the sea will be turbulent and the wave height will be between 5 to 7 feet.”
