AJMAN: In an endeavour to attract Russian tourists, a delegation from the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) visited Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), held from March 14 to 16. The visit was in line with Ajman Vision 2021, which aims to mobilise efforts to promote the Emirate as a favorable tourist and investment destination.

The delegation is headed by Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, and included representatives from the Emirate’s hospitality sector, including Ajman Saray Luxury Collection.

The visit is part of ATDD’s efforts to promote Ajman as a tourist destination. The delegation held meetings with key business partners, investors and tour operators in order to discuss business opportunities and familiarize them with the tourist attractions available in the Emirate of Ajman.

Faisal Al Nuaimi along with Ahmed Kamal, Director of Sales at Ajman Saray, attended the MITT opening day to meet the key partners and strengthen bilateral relations to attract tourism investment into Ajman and increase the influx of tourists to the Emirate.

Al Nuaimi said: “MITT is highly valued by the international tourism community. With over 1,600 participating companies from around the globe, MITT is the key meeting place for the tourism industry. It enables us increase awareness about our destination, present our new programmes and network with key players in the world tourism market.

“Our visit to MITT is part of our long term plan to increase the influx of tourists from Russia to Ajman and strengthen our relationship with major Russian travel and tourism agencies. As Russia is one of the world’s fastest growing tourism markets, we are currently promoting the Emirate in this market and attracting the Russian tourists to Ajman. In addition, the MITT provides professional experience and helps us stay abreast with the latest developments in the tourism industry and the related services and infrastructure,” he concluded.
