Scientists have done so much to make our lives better and there is so much more to do but occasionally they go rogue and this might be such a case.
T.rexs died out about 66 million years ago and even Google says you can't get DNA from fossils, a fact that would have made Jurassic Park a much shorter film.
However, a purse made of T.rex leather is up for sale for about $500K, which seems expensive but given the shortage of real T.rex leather might be reasonable.
The reality however, from my years of school science teaching, is that this isn't possible although a purse costing $500k should also be impossible. A $10 purse will do the job and from there this may just be an exercise in vanity and gullibility although purses are not my area of speciality.
Perhaps this $500k could be given to one of the food bank charities to feed a lot of hungry souls and the scientists could return to real work.
