People who work in the profession of home delivery services as delivery riders or drivers deserve appreciation from all of us because it’s a tough job to perform. Along with performing their duties as delivery riders they also perform noble causes such as removing barriers from a road in busy traffic and helping others reach their destinations (“Dubai food delivery rider gets awarded for removing barriers from a road in busy traffic,” Aug.10, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the ministry said on Twitter, “The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation followed the video in which Mr. Waqas Sarwar appeared to be removing barriers from the street to protect drivers, and Khalil Al-Khoury, Undersecretary for Human Resources Affairs, received him, honoured him and thanked him for the good step he took. We are proud of Waqas and everyone who does good work.”

Delivery riders and drivers with their excellent service always make people comfortable in getting their purchased items at their doorstep. When people choose the home delivery option for what they purchased online they don’t have to go personally to the marketplace to collect their stuff. There is no doubt that it’s a tough job because delivery riders work tirelessly. They don’t care about the scorching heat in the summer, chilly weather in winter and even the heavy rain can’t stop them from their duties.

I would like to appreciate the great gesture from the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation rewarding a Deliveroo Food Delivery motorbike rider for his humane gesture of removing barriers from the middle of a roundabout in Dubai.
