The COVID-19 pandemic that jolted the whole world, killed millions, and infected billions of people remains the biggest threat to life. The fight against the coronavirus is still not over (“15.6 million children in US infected with Covid,” April 27, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, some 15.6 million children in the US are reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic in early 2020, according to a new report. Over the past 7 months, weekly reported child cases plateaued at an average of about 27,000 cases, while in the past four weeks the average reported weekly cases dropped further to about 11,000, Xinhua news agency quoted the report as saying. The world has achieved a huge success in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic but the threat of deadly disease is still alive. People all around the world should practise COVID-19 standard operating procedure till the World Health Organisation officially announces the complete success against the pandemic.
