Agnipath, the new initiative of the central government aimed at addressing unemployment is a welcome step and this system of recruitment should be extended to other sectors too.

Then only we can utilise the youngest population in a meaningful way. Indian railways, the largest employer, too should start recruiting more youngsters by removing existing long serving employees from service. So as government and public sector employees.

The reforms are essential because a poor country like India should start spending resources more prudently than ever before as the impending challenges such as global warming, net zero emission targets and never-ending geopolitical conflicts will make things even worse.

After Ukraine, it may be Taiwan. Their problems are going to be our problems too. With the Chinese influence all over the world, India’s energy security is uncertain.

The US federal reserve already hiked the interest rate by 0.75% and it will have devastating effect on Indian economy for a long term. Within 25 years, we will be going back to our old routine activities, mainly agriculture.

Only time will tell if we can work outside in extreme weather conditions then as UN report on climate change says India and Pakistan going to get affected the most. Global warming will definitely force us to go back. Millions will lose their current jobs and livelihood. It would be journey from abundance to scarcity.

So providing a livelihood to as many people as possible in a short span of time is an urgent mission.
