The Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) successfully served and distributed Iftar meals in various locations in Abu Dhabi. The remarkable turnout on the first day of Ramadan is a testament to the effectiveness of the ERC's efforts.

Ramadan tents are spreading across the country with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, organizers of the Iftar tents ensure that meals are available well before Maghreb (sunset) call to prayer. These tents are set up in all squares across the country, particularly in front of mosques and labour housing areas, and are easily identifiable by their signs and large size. The aim is to provide merciful assistance to those in need.

Charitable and humanitarian organisations across the country has set up Iftar tents to provide Iftar meal throughout the holy month of Ramadan. These tents, on the first day of Ramdan, witnessed a large turnout well before the call to prayer, as organisers ensured that meals were available in a timely manner.

Lines of fasting people stretched for long distances in front of the tents distributing Iftar meals, as fasting people flocked to the distribution sites designated by the concerned authorities, many charitable organisations and tents of the Red Crescent Authority.

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority confidently announces that donors can contribute to the cost of providing 'Ramadan Mir' for families. Donations can range between Dhs10-500, depending on the number of family members. ERC also accepts donations for Iftar tents across the country. Setting up a Ramadan tent in Abu Dhabi costs Dhs75,000, while in other emirates, it costs Dhs57,000. Donors can confidently contribute as little as Dhs15 for one Iftar meal.
