Al Ain Court of First Instance obligated a person to return another Dhs7,000, and fined him Dhs3,000 in favour of the latter, whom he had lured through Instagram and deluded him with his ability to provide him with football match tickets, but he sent him fake ones.

The details date back to the time when a person filed a lawsuit against another in which he requested that he be obligated to pay him an amount of Dhs7,000, and obligating him to compensate him with Dhs10,000 for the damages he incurred, besides the fees and expenses and lawyer’s fees.

The plaintiff said that he communicated with the appellee via Instagram after the latter convinced him of his ability to provide football match tickets, so he transferred the agreed-upon amount to the appellee’s account, who sent him fake tickets.

The appellee was convicted for that incident under a criminal ruling which the court said had become final and can not be appealed.

The court then obligated the appellee to return Dhs7,000 to the plaintiff, in addition to Dhs3,000 in compensation for damages he incurred.
