Ras Al Khaimah records lowest temperature at 4.9°C, chilly winds likely to continue

The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Monday was 4.9°C at 5:00 am in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, while Rakna area in Al Ain recorded 5.4°C at 5:45 am, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported.

It has also expected that the weather on Tuesday will be fair in general and partly cloudy over some areas especially southward. The winds will be light to moderate, northwesterly, and fresh to strong at times especially over the sea stirring dust, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching up to 45 km/hr. The sea will be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Sea of Oman.

The Wednesday’s weather is also expected to be fair in general and partly cloudy at times especially eastward and southward. Humid by night and Thursday morning with a probability of mist formation over some inland areas. The winds will be light to moderate, northwesterly and freshening at times, especially over the sea, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching up to 40 km/hr. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough by early morning, becoming moderate to slight in the Sea of Oman.

The weather on Thursday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy and low clouds may appear over scattered areas, especially northward and eastward. Humid by night and Friday morning with a probability of mist formation over some inland areas. The winds will be light to moderate, northwesterly, freshening at times, especially over the sea, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 up to km/hr. The sea will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Sea of Oman.

The Friday’s weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy and low clouds may appear over some northern and eastern areas. Humid by night and Saturday morning with a probability of mist formation over some inland areas. Light to moderate northwesterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 10-20 reaching 35 km/hr. The sea will be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
