Britain starts E-visas for Emiratis for only £10

The UAE Embassy in the United Kingdom announced that starting on Thursday, Emirati citizens can request an electronic travel permit to travel to the United Kingdom, and they will be exempt from obtaining a prior entry visa.

According to a statement published by the UAE embassy in the United Kingdom, the Electronic Travel Authorization (EtA) program launched by the British authorities for UAE citizens will be open for application as of February 1, 2024 for those who wish to visit the United Kingdom from February 22 onwards.

The statement explained that the people eligible to obtain the electronic travel permit are:

- Visitors who have not obtained any type of residency in the United Kingdom before their travel.

- Visitors coming to the United Kingdom for the purpose of visiting for a period of up to 6 months, visiting family or friends, or working or studying for a short period

- Visitors coming to the UK for up to 3 months on a Creative Entrepreneur visa

- Visitors travelling through the UK.

Application for the electronic travel permit is done with:

      1- Provide contact information, passport, and a valid personal photo, and answer a set of questions

      2- The application fee is 10 British pounds

      3- The request will be responded to within 3 working days

      4- The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is valid for unlimited travel to the United Kingdom over a period of two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.

The application can be submitted via the UK ETA application or on GOV.UK
