The UAE energy ministry has decreased the prices of petrol and diesel for the month of January, taking effect on Jan.1, 2023.

These prices include a value-added tax of 5 per cent.

The January’s new price for a litre of Super 98 petrol will be sold at Dhs2.78 per litre in all fuel stations. It was Dhs3.30 per litre in December.

The price of a litre of Special 95 petrol will be sold at Dhs2.67. In December, it was Dhs3.18.

E-Plus 91 will be available for Dhs2.59. It was Dhs3.11 in December.

Diesel will be sold at Dhs3.29. It was Dhs3.74 in December.

Earlier this December, setting a new record, the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) has approved more than $500 million in new financing at the most recent meeting of its Governing Board and in the final quarter of 2022.

The 15 new projects approved reflect the OPEC Fund’s launch of a US$1 billion Food Security Action Plan and the adoption of its first dedicated Climate Action Plan earlier this year. In addition, new engagements will support infrastructure development and investments to improve communities in the Fund’s partner countries around the world, according to an OFID statement published on its website.
