The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court sent a gang of four Asians behind bars after they were found guilty of robbing under construction houses. The convicts would be deported after serving the jail term, the Court ruled.

It was stated that the gang were found involved in robbing houses, especially those under final finishes.

They reportedly committed thefts of a number of under construction houses in a number of areas of Ras Al Khaimah.

They used to climb fences and break doors and windows, to steal what was inside the targeted houses, such as wires, electrical installations, water-lifting machines, and what was light in weight and expensive, the Court heard.

The police received many reports about the theft at a number of houses that were still under construction.

It was said that they had robbed 15 houses.

The security teams intensified the investigations and search, and they were able to get verified information that led to arrest the gang.

Some persons were monitored while waiting at night for others in one of the areas of Ras Al Khaimah.

They were arrested, while some tools such as “saws”, “scissors”, “scalpels” and a bag of cotton gloves, were found in their possession.

On questioning them, they confessed to the robberies they committed in 15 under construction houses.

They also admitted to selling the stolen items to an Asian person, who claimed before the Court that he did not know that it those items were proceeds of robberies.
