The GHQ of Ras Al Khaimah Police announced activation of a "radar" on Masafi-Ras Al Khaimah Road to control the trucks operating without a permit during non-allowed times, and the vehicles of expired registration as of Monday-October 17.

The move aims at enhancing road security and the safety of its users, the RAK Police said.

The Central Operations Department in Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that the new radar aims to control traffic on Masafi Road through monitoring the violating trucks that use the road outside the times allowed to pass without a permit.

It is also designated to monitor vehicles with expired registration.

The Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police also advised the road users to renew their vehicles’ registration, and to abide by traffic laws and the prescribed speeds on the road.

It also warned truck drivers against using Masafi Road without a permit during the timing not designated for trucks, in order to preserve the public safety and private property, and to avoid traffic violations.
