Sheikh Mohammed approves budget for next three years

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Monday chaired the UAE cabinet meeting at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting the cabinet approved the general budget of the Federation 2023-2026 with total expenditures of Dhs252.3 billion and total revenues of Dhs255.7 billion.

“Today, I chaired the Cabinet meeting at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi, in which we approved the general budget of the Federation 2023-2026 with total expenditures of 252.3 billion dirhams and total revenues of 255.7 billion dirhams,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

“The budget of the Union is sustainable and balanced, and it is a major driver of the Union Government and its development ambitions for the people of the Union,” he tweeted further.

“During the meeting, the UAE Cabinet also reviewed 50 years of distinguished and stable Emirati-Egyptian relations, which are being sponsored today by my brother, the President of the UAE and the Egyptian President, may God protect them,” Sheikh Mohammed said.

“We directed the organisation of special ceremonies to celebrate and consolidate these exceptional Arab brotherly relations spanning over 50 years.”

The Cabinet also reviewed the Emirates Railway Project the largest infrastructure project in the UAE, linking 11 cities, 7 logistics centers and 4 international ports in the country.

The project under the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed and under the follow-up and supervision of Theyab Bin Mohammed.

“It a project that will change the infrastructure map in the country,” tweeted Sheikh Mohammed.

Cabinet also approved the UAE’s accession to the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, and congratulated the country’s re-election as a member of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

“The UAE’s position in the leading international organisations is being consolidated thanks to the efforts of our work teams that see its country only at the fore,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted further.
