The much-anticipated iPhone 14 went on sale on Friday in the UAE with Apple superfans form long queues to get their hands on the latest marvelous gadget.

A Gulf Today photographer went to Dubai Mall to catch a glimpse of the Apple store in the morning.    

It was learnt that some residents have been waiting to pre-book the iPhone 14 since 2 am.

A Gulf Today reporter saw a huge queue outside the Dubai Mall Apple store around 2.20am.

A store employee and a security guard were seen managing people.

A woman who didn’t want to be identified said that she was sleeping in the car near the Dubai Mall so it would save her time travelling to reach the store.       

There were long queues at the Apple Store at the Mall of the Emirates, which was also open for pre-booking.  

Apple store employees gave a grand welcome to customers with the store opening the doors at 8am with celebratory claps at Dubai Mall.

Apple UAE website said that iPhone 14 Pro starts at Dhs 4,299, while iPhone 14 Pro Max will be available for Dhs 4,699.

Apple iPad Pro is likely to house M2 chip as an upgrade to the current models with M1 chip.

The iPad Pro may also come with wireless charging with MagSafe and mini LED, backlighting for the 11-inch iPad Pro.

In a grand launch on Sept.7, The Apple said new iPhone 14 models are capable of sending a call for help via satellite during an emergency, as well as crash-detection ability and an adventure-focused Ultra Watch.

The iPhone 14 models will test Apple’s ability to wring dollars from its relatively affluent customer base, which has kept spending in the face of rising inflation but is not immune to a weakening economy.

Apple said it put together a system that will work with emergency responders during emergencies in remote areas.
