Father, 3 teenage sons burnt alive in bus-car collision in Pakistan

A Pakistani man and his three teenage sons were burnt alive while his wife and a son suffered injuries as a speeding bus hit the parked cars during a wedding procession in Okara, Punjab province, local media said on Sunday.

The tragic accident happened at village 20/1L at Renal bypass on GT Road in Okara district of Punjab province.

According to a media report, a marriage party from Lahore reached Renala Khurd and guests parked their vehicles along the GT Road near a wedding hall when the speeding bus reportedly collided head-on with cars of the wedding procession in front of a marriage hall on GT Road in Renala Khurd.

One of the cars skidded into fields and caught fire due to a short circuit.

As a result, Zulfiqar (50), his three sons Asad (9), Abu Bakr (11) and Abu Hurara (13) were burnt alive while the mother of the minors and one of the siblings suffered injuries as they managed to get out of the car.

Seven people in other cars were also injured in the crash and were rushed to the Renala THQ hospital
